Work Together in Our Wiki Neighborhood

MHC manages several Wikis for like-minded people to share ideas and jointly plan work. Curently, the most active Wiki is shared by the towns that will sponsor the Smithsonian “Journey Stories” exhibit tour in 2010.

Join a Book Group

Join fellow Missourians in ReadMOre, Missouri’s book club. In 2009 we read and discussed A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley. In 2010 we’re celebrating the Mark Twain centennial with discussions of selected short stories and a speaking tour by one of the leading Twain impersonators, George Frein.

Author Jane Smiley participated in some of the ReadMOre Book Club events in 2009

Serve on the MHC Board

Members of the Board are elected annually for three-year terms. If you are an adult resident of Missouri and you have a strong interest in the humanities and a reputation for accomplishment in your community, you would be among your peers during your period of board service. MHC’s Membership Committee welcomes nominations and self-nominations year-round. Please let us know of your interest.
