The Missouri Humanities Council awards grants in support of locally generated
programs. Grants are awarded by MHC board members in
open competition, with multiple submission and review dates each year.
Senior program staff counsel applicants during the development of program
ideas, and they critique drafts of grant applications before submission. Only
non-profit organizations may apply for grants, and the activities must be
designed principally for adults in Missouri.
The Council is especially interested in projects that build bridges of communication and understanding across ethnic and racial lines in our communities, and that have some potential for multi-generation involvement in activities.
