Week-long teachers' institute offered in partnership with the Shawnee Indian Mission State Historic Site in Fairway, Kansas and with participation by American Indian tribal representatives. A similar institute was offered for the first time in 2006, and teachers' response was so favorable that the program has been updated and improved for 2007. A unique exhibit-in-a-bus will tour several Missouri communities as part of a comprehensive, multi-year project to provide learning opportunities throughout the Midwest.
