THE EXHIBITS

One of the main stipulations of the grant was, of course, the creation and mounting of a new exhibit which was to be of strategic importance to the institution. As a direct result of the intern project, the Friends of Arrow Rock were able to present its living history exhibit, the "Sites Reenactment Tour." Similarly, the Black World History Museum fabricated and mounted its permanent exhibit, a wax figure of the Reverend Earl Nance, Sr. along with interpretation and memorabilia, and a smaller student exhibit on the interns' family histories. While the Friends' reenactment tour and the museum's student exhibit are no longer on "display," both of these exhibits (as well as the Nance exhibit) were successful in their scope and mission.
