SUCCESS

The "Gunstocks and Bustles" weekend was a marked success for the Friends of Arrow Rock. Kathy Borgman reported the following in her project analysis submitted to the Council: "Attendance at the "Gunstocks and Bustles" weekend was 1,200 with standing room only (100 plus) at the LectureGusler lecture, African-American worship service, and reenactment tours. Our volunteer core grew to 60...The "Gunstocks and Bustles" surveys were...positive. In rating the speakers on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being very successful, virtually all surveys listed the speakers at a 4 or 5! Another positive result of the weekend is that half of the people surveyed were first time visitors to Arrow Rock." The extensive publicity efforts, diverse activities, and personnel recruitment had all resulted in a program that did indeed allow a large audience to interact with Arrow Rock's historic structures in Contents Next Page Previous Page new ways.
