MO Passages Continues to Evolve
Dear Readers:
You may have noticed that the e-newsletter of the Missouri Humanities Council, MO Passages, has been in a state of transition for the last several issues. We are still in the process of carrying out a series of changes, and you will see a few more differences in this issue. Issues will incorporate more information on upcoming events and activities that are being presented not just by MHC, but also by our partner organizations and institutions. We will also be trying to include in each issue more interesting articles and essays on a variety of topics from our staff, our Council members, and our constituents. Our goal is to make the newsletter represent a more varied range of voices and viewpoints, and we hope that you, our readers, will find this approach to be engaging and enlightening.
Editorship of Mo Passages has been passed to our Program Coordinator, Marilyn Webster-Brown. If you have comments about the newsletter, or would like to submit a piece for inclusion, please send them to marilyn@mohumanities.org. We would welcome pieces such as news regarding upcoming humanities-related activities and programs in your community or at your institution, reviews or articles about events of interest including Chautauqua’s and lectures, and commentary on issues affecting the humanities.
In this issue of MO Passages, we have a variety of pieces that generally address the subject of programming: activities that will be happening in the near future; the diversity of what MHC has been involved with over the years; and the significance of different kinds of programs, such as the current Museum on Main Street traveling exhibition, ”Journey Stories.” We hope that you find these articles of interest.
