October 7, 2017, 10:00 AM

Bring a piece of writing, prose or poetry, and a group of veterans will review it to determine your starting point. If you don't have a first piece, don't worry. Come to learn about creating a meaningful critique that will help your fellow vets improve their work. We'll also learn about crafting Point of View. Participants will enjoy instructor and group discussion of Point of View, using video clips from movies about past wars. The workshops are Co-presented by the Missouri Humanities Council, the Writers Place, the Moral Injury Association of America, and the Kansas City Public Library. Lunch will be provided. The workshop is free and open to past or present military members and family members of veterans. Attendees must register for each session and are strongly encourged to attend all five.
