Each year the Missouri Humanities Council recognizes outstanding citizens for their achievements in and dedication to the humanities throughout the State of Missouri. On April 30, 2016 from noon until 3pm the annual awards ceremony will take place at the Barnett on Washington in St. Louis, MO. The Council is proud to announce the following 2016 award recipients:

The Nine Network
Nominees must either be Missouri residents or whose work in the humanities that is being considered for recognition is Missouri-centric. We accept nominations for the following categories: Excellence in Education, Exemplary Community Achievement, Distinguished Literary Achievement.
When is the nomination deadline?
The award ceremony take months of planning, logistics, and promotion. We ask that nominations be received by September 21st, 2015 for the 2016 Awards.
When is the ceremony?
We generally host the event in the late Spring each year. Our most recent award luncheon was held May 2, 2015. Check back soon for more details for our 2016 program.
Where is the ceremony held?
We’ve held our award ceremony at several venues across the state, most recently at the National WW1 Museum in Kansas City, Mo. Check back soon for our 2016 venue announcement!
