Banneker Elementary Presents: Our Black Gold Live Museum

February 23 @ 12:00 pm

- FREE

Join Banneker Elementary School on February 23rd for a Live Museum! Every year schools do traditional style Black History programs. Students quote famous individuals and read famous speeches. Although these programs are great, we believe our ancestors can be represented in an even greater way. So what if…What if we did more? What if we make our history come alive? What if we did away with the old and brought something new to our families? Where our families aren’t just watching but they’re a part of it? What if instead of a program, we have a museum? Instead of the same presentation, we’d have a visual display of our history…
Go with us back in time to experience the rich history of the African-American culture for yourself. A new learning opportunity for families and those in the community to explore, leaving you with an experience you’ll never forget.
