Eric
Zahnd, Platte County Prosecuting Attorney, is a sixth generation Missourian.
Raised in Andrew County, he graduated summa cum laude from William
Jewell College, where he majored in Institutions and Policy as part of the
nationally-recognized Oxbridge Honors Study Program.He studied at Cambridge University in England during his junior year. Eric went on to the Duke University Law School, where he graduated with top honors. While at Duke, he was editor of a law journal and earned a Master's degree in Philosophy. He is the author of a 1996 article on Aristotle's legal philosophy, recently republished in Aristotle and Modern Law.
Eric currently serves on the boards of directors for the Northland Alternative Service Program and the William Jewell College Alumni Board of Governor's, and he serves as an associate deacon at an area Baptist church. Prior to his 2002 election as Prosecuting Attorney, Eric practiced business litigation with Brian Cave LLP.
