Patricia
Zahn joined the staff of the Missouri Humanities Council in 1998 when she
was hired to direct the READ from the START program. She currently
coordinates all of the Council's program endeavors and is involved in the
Development and Administrative activities of the organization.She is an American Studies graduate of St. Louis University and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has a long history of community service working with both children and adults. Patricia has served on the Literacy Roundtable of Greater St. Louis board for six years and is currently on the YMCA Y-Read Advisory board. She is also a member of the Parent Advisory Committee and the Counseling Advisory Committee for her local school district.
Patricia grew up near Memphis, Tennessee. She, her husband, and son, moved to Missouri in 1988 to be closer to her husband's family. She is the parent of an active teenager and spends a lot of time attending baseball games, swim meets, drama productions and other school-related functions. She enjoys reading, singing, listening to music, theatre, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
