Ron Armbruster owns a real estate firm and is a self-described "deal-maker." A past President of the Foundation for the Restoration of Ste. Genevieve and of the Ste. Genevieve Industrial Development Corporation, he is currently a Director of the Ste. Genevieve Chamber of Commerce.

In 2000, he was instrumental in Ste. Genevieve's sponsorship of the "Yesterday's Tomorrows" touring exhibit brokered by MHC on behalf of the Smithsonian Institution.

A former high-school social studies teacher, he holds a B.S. degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University and an M.S. degree from Western Illinois University.
