Fiscal Officer

Cheryl Tarbox joined the staff of the Missouri Humanities Council in September 2006. As the Fiscal Officer, she handles all aspects of accounting and serves as the Grant Administrator for grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Cheryl has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and more than twenty-five years experience in the accounting field.  She spent eleven years of that time as the controller for a large St. Louis non-profit organization.

Cheryl grew up in the St. Louis area, attending Southwest High School.  She traveled extensively for many years, then returned to St. Louis.  She is now enthusiastic in promoting Missouri as a great place to live and raise a family. She has been involved for many years in volunteering with the child-advocate group known as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of St. Louis County.
